Essential Phone and E-mail Contacts
Prior to the contest, questions or problems concerning national contest registration and related materials should be directed to the National History Day office at 301-314-9739 or registration@nhd.org. Questions regarding housing and meals should be directed to the University of Maryland's Office of Conference and Visitor Services at 301-314-7884 or conferences@umd.edu. During the contest, the National History Day staff will be stationed in the Stamp Student Union and will accept calls there. The main number to the Stamp Student Union is 301-314-3375. DO NOT CALL NHD'S OFFICE DURING THE CONTEST. No staff will be there to answer calls. |

Emergency Telephone Numbers
If you need to reach a student, parent, or teacher in an emergency, please use the following telephone numbers: 301-314-3375 (Stamp Student Union, opens at 7:00 AM daily) 301-314-5275 (24 - hour residence hall conference desk). Please use these numbers only in emergency situations. National History Day's office will be closed during the week of the contest, and the phone number should not be given as a contact number for participants, family, or friends at the contest. Do not use the NHD office number for emergencies during the contest. |
