The first is <em>Researching Silent Heroes<\/em> and the second is <em>Teaching African American History<\/em>. The third is the return of NHD&#8217;s <em>Historical Argumentation Webinar Series<\/em>. Teachers will have options to receive professional development hours or graduate extension credits. Teachers are eligible to take one of the three courses this year. If you have questions, please contact programs@nhd.org.<\/p>\n\n<p  class=\"appear-on-scroll is-style-intro\" ><strong>Only a few spots remain for the <em>Teaching African American History <\/em>and <em>Historical Argumentation <\/em>courses &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/243095455030148\">register now<\/a>. The <em>Researching Silent Heroes<\/em> course is full.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\"><div  class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-button\" ><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/243095455030148\"><span class=\"label\">register now<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\"><strong>Researching Silent Heroes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">Apply for an opportunity to learn how to research and create a profile for a Silent Hero\u00ae, an individual who served the United States. These men and women died during wartime and are buried or memorialized in an American military cemetery cared for by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abmc.gov\/\">American Battle Monuments Commission<\/a>. Sixty teachers will be selected for the program, broken into four cohorts (studying service members from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War). Participants will create profiles for these individuals that will be published on the National History Day\u00ae&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nhdsilentheroes.org\/\">Silent Heroes&nbsp;<\/a>website.
