National History Day is proud to share the first edition in our Moving Freedom Forward <\/em>series. This edition focuses on African American history. It is a collection of essays and lessons designed to help teachers engage with current historical scholarship and practices. The goal of the series is to offer teachers access to cutting-edge scholarship, resources for research, and model lessons to show how to engage students with this content in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n
