Krista joined the NHD team in 2023. She has over a decade of teaching experience in higher education and dual enrollment courses and comes from a curriculum and teaching resource development background. Krista earned a Ph.D. in History (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee), and her research and teaching work explores teaching and learning with objects/material culture. As lead historian, she manages all NHD publications and assists with outreach to NHD students, teachers, and judges, including summer institutes and conferences.
